debating whether or not i should just delete this long abandoned blog. it is funny to look back and read the crazy stuff Ty used to do and say. Things have definitely changed since my last post though, life has a funny way of doing that.
Guess time will only tell what I'll actually do

the 30th and the 4th

Here are some pics of my 27th (hehehe) birthday dinner (that i made myself, it was a weekday and didn't want to do anything and the hubby doesn't really cook, so why not make myself something that i wanted to eat..) and the 4th of July

steak with shrooms n chimichurri sauce, twice baked potato and oven roasted veg with parm
I took these pics with J's phone, they came out pretty good

Ty started to run in this pic, he was a lil scared of the sparklers at first

This looks like his hand is on fire, we are such good parents letting our kid play with fireworks! lol

and here's a short vid of him playin, he jumps when he hears the loud fireworks our neighbors were setting off

new years resol-what?

How many of my peeps out there (all four of you, lol) do New Years Resolutions? And how are those resolutions coming? I did make a list for the new year, not so much "resolutions" but more of a list of goals i wanted to accomplish this year. Well, the year is half over and the list got lost somewhere in this house and I just now found it. I figured maybe if I post it then maybe some stuff would get done on it!

Things to do in 09:

-Finish my quillow (i started this back in 01' before i moved to colorado)
-Make Ty a quillow and a quilt out of his baby blankets
-Do 5 crafty projects (make that 4 after the mommys day project)
-Organize photos online and in albums
-Take a scrapbooking and/or sewing class
-Take a dance class
-Use cloth shopping bags
-GET ORGANIZED
-purge
-get rid of clutter
-stop buying stuff i dont need
-make a master cleaning schedule
-Make a vision board
-work on blog (i guess i can check this one off!)
-Get Ty on a schedule
-Adopt a healthier lifestyle
-Try a new recipe once a week
-Find a church home
-Finish everything I start
-Make a family "credo" or rules/morals to live by
-Make some friends -Find my purpose (feelin a little lost right now..)
So, there's my list...I hope this will help in my motivation to "get er done!"

a mothers day project

I forgot to post this! I saw this project somewhere and immediately thought of my mom! She loves scrabble and this was perfect for me to make. After searching thrift stores for a used scrabble games with no luck, i just used the one we already had here. In the instructions, it said to glue tacks to the letters and then push the tacks through the board. Unfortunately, half of the letters popped off, so i just glued them to the board itself ( i figured my mom wouldnt be changing the names on it anyway). Another thing I would change would be to cut the openings the same size bcus i had a hard time sizing the pictures to the openings after i had already cut them. All in all, i was pleased the way it came out! http://photojojo.com/content/diy/scrabble-board-picture-frame/

A wedding...

My friend Allison got married last weekend up in the bay area. I was originally just a spectator, but ended up as a bridesmaid! We were excited to have a mini vacation and go somewhere different. We did leave later than planned (we drove) and Ty threw up in the car...not fun....But once we were on our way, Ty and I slept most of the way, lol, sorry hubby! The wedding site was really nice, it was in a rose garden and all the flowers looked amazing (of course, didnt get any pics of them, grrrr).

my handsome boy all ready to go!

cheezy boy!

For our first road trip, it wasnt too bad, except for throwing up! We also got to spend some time with my Uncle too, who lives in the area! He took some cute pics of Ty, i'll have to get those from him and post them.
