How many of my peeps out there (all four of you, lol) do New Years Resolutions? And how are those resolutions coming? I did make a list for the new year, not so much "resolutions" but more of a list of goals i wanted to accomplish this year. Well, the year is half over and the list got lost somewhere in this house and I just now found it. I figured maybe if I post it then maybe some stuff would get done on it!
Things to do in 09:
-Finish my quillow (i started this back in 01' before i moved to colorado)
-Make Ty a quillow and a quilt out of his baby blankets
-Do 5 crafty projects (make that 4 after the mommys day project)
-Organize photos online and in albums
-Take a scrapbooking and/or sewing class
-Take a dance class
-Use cloth shopping bags
-GET ORGANIZED
-purge
-get rid of clutter
-stop buying stuff i dont need
-make a master cleaning schedule
-Make a vision board
-work on blog (i guess i can check this one off!)
-Get Ty on a schedule
-Adopt a healthier lifestyle
-Try a new recipe once a week
-Find a church home
-Finish everything I start
-Make a family "credo" or rules/morals to live by
-Make some friends -Find my purpose (feelin a little lost right now..)
So, there's my list...I hope this will help in my motivation to "get er done!"

a mothers day project
I forgot to post this! I saw this project somewhere and immediately thought of my mom! She loves scrabble and this was perfect for me to make. After searching thrift stores for a used scrabble games with no luck, i just used the one we already had here. In the instructions, it said to glue tacks to the letters and then push the tacks through the board. Unfortunately, half of the letters popped off, so i just glued them to the board itself ( i figured my mom wouldnt be changing the names on it anyway). Another thing I would change would be to cut the openings the same size bcus i had a hard time sizing the pictures to the openings after i had already cut them. All in all, i was pleased the way it came out! http://photojojo.com/content/diy/scrabble-board-picture-frame/

A wedding...
My friend Allison got married last weekend up in the bay area. I was originally just a spectator, but ended up as a bridesmaid! We were excited to have a mini vacation and go somewhere different. We did leave later than planned (we drove) and Ty threw up in the car...not fun....But once we were on our way, Ty and I slept most of the way, lol, sorry hubby! The wedding site was really nice, it was in a rose garden and all the flowers looked amazing (of course, didnt get any pics of them, grrrr).

kids say the darndest things

Being the parent of a two yr old is quite the adventure, i must say. Now that Ty is older, he talks alot more and i can actually understand most of it! lol. Some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth sometimes truly cracks me up and leaves me wondering where he picked that up.
tidbits from ty :
Ty brings me an old envelope with some flash cards in it and says "special delivery, here's you letta mommy."
"thanks Ty"
"you welcome mommy."
Ty will be doing something and put something in its place and say "perfect!" how does he know it's perfect? sigh...
Ty comes in the room with no pants or diaper and says, like he's shocked "oh no! my diaper is gone!"
After several tries at a healthier homemade chicken nugget, i finally found a recipe that could rival Mcd's. After putting a plate of these homemade nuggets on the table, my darling child says "how about peanut butter jelly, mommy? come on mommy, let's go to the kitchen!"
just take deep breaths...whooooossssaaaaaaa.....
Joel was outside with Ty playing and since we live next to the AFB, we see a lot of planes... "look daddy a comet" it's really a jet, but how does my kid know what a comet is?
We were leaving cousin's house and it was dark outside. Ty takes his hand outa mine to make prayer hands and say "starwight star bright, first star i see tonight....." and then seeing the moon "moon bright, moon bright, first moon i see tonight..."
So, Ty comes over to me and climbs in my lap and just snuggles for a minute. I ask him "whatsa matta for u?" he replies "no, not matta for me, i feel happy"
"you feel happy, ty?"
"yeah mommy, i feel happy"
"me too, ty"
Ty decided to not listen to me at the docs office and got at time out, "mommy happy or mad? mommy mad...." I had to try real hard not laugh at that one...
"come on mommy lets go to the kitchen, its time fooooor juice!"
I was feigning sleep because i didnt want to read a book for the 85th time "wake up mommy, wake up, time for reading!"
"can i play too?" when im sewing
We were outside playing and Joel came outside when he got home from work Ty says, "look daddy friends"
For whatever reason, Ty feels the need to introduce to me people now "thats my friend mommy, say hi mommy, hi mommy!"
walking to get the mail "let's take this path or this path" think he may be watching too much dora
If there is something he doesnt really want he says, no thank you..and sags his shoulders and sulks away
My child also talks to his toys and to himself :
"dont worry cup ill save u! reeeeaaaach! Gotcha!"
"help tylen help! Don't worry, i'll help you tylen!"
"open it mommy open it, hurry!"
"i did it! great job, tylen"
"great job mommy, that's ex-a-went job"
"i cant fix it, i cant do it" and sags his shoulders and look very sad...
Joel was playin video game and missed, "good job daddy, or maybe not" lol, thanks for your support...
"wanna watch nooooggin, how bout playhouse disney?" I like how my son now requests what he wants to watch on tv....
Pretty much everyday he says something new that cracks me up...oh that kid

Happy Easter!
Happy Easter everyone!
"For God so loved the world, that He gave HIs only begotten son , that whosever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16
In my attempt to get out of the house more and not spend a whole lot of money, I am always on the lookout for free or low cost events for Ty to go to.
So, we went to the "hop and shop" easter egg hunt. This was free but we had to register from 9-10. Joel had school, so he went for about an hour and by the time we got there, the 1-3yr old time slots were full...ah well. However, there was a cool playground there and Ty loves being outside and playing on playgrounds. That is where we spent the majority of our time before he got his face painted and colored. Here are some photos and a lil video of our day. It was a really nice day and he was good and worn out (and a little stinky) when we left.

look at that concentration
